||Carlo Deltetto began producing high quality wines in Piemonte’s historic and prestigious wine producing areas of Roero and Langhe in 1953. From the establishment of the his family’s winery in Canale, in the heart of the Roero, Carlo has been dedicated to respecting nature and the great Piemontese wine traditions.
Since completing his oenology studies in 1977, Carlo’s son Antonio-together with wife Graziella, their son Carlo, and their daughters Cristina and Claudia-has run the business, always faithful to his father’s vision.. In 2011, the family joyfully welcomed Carlo and Paola’s daughter Lidia, the 4th Deltetto generation.
In over 21 hectares of vineyards, Deltetto produces great traditional red wines, such as Roero D.O.C.G. Riserva “Braja”, Barbera d’Alba D.O.C. “Rocca delle marasche”and “Brame” and the Langhe D.O.C. Nebbiolo. Optimizing the ideal Roero habitat for white wine, Deltetto produces Roero Arneis D.O.C.G. “San Michele” and “Daivej” and Langhe D.O.C. Favorita “Servaj”.
Over the last few years, the Deltetto family enjoyed many successes, with its Barolo D.O.C.G. “Sistaglia”, the Langhe D.O.C. Pinot Nero and the Vino Passito “Bric du Liun”.
In 2000 the Deltetto family’s passion high quality bubbles gave birth to V.S.Q. Extra Brut Millesimato, Brut and Rose, sparkling wines made in the “Classic Method” of bottle fermentation. Within a few years, Deltetto’s bubbles became a key part of their production, transforming the winery into one of the premier Italian sparkling wine producers.
