Signature Policy
You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase wine from ShortHillsWine.com. All packages sent out by ShortHillsWine.com
REQUIRE a signature upon delivery. It is highly recommended that you provide us with a business shipping address for best
service. Customer comments on their order such as "Please leave on back porch" or "Please leave at front door" will be
ignored! We will not be able to refund any shipping charges if your package comes back to us because there was no adult
(person over 21) to sign for the wine!
Estimated Delivery Time
Orders placed will be shipped within the next 2 business days. The chart to calculate the estimated number of business days
(Monday-Friday) it will take for your package to arrive is shown on the shipping options as you check out. Please note that
the estimated number of business days is only an estimate and is not guaranteed particularly on ground shipments. We do
everything possible to protect the wine from temperature-related damage. If you are concerned about the weather you can
choose a faster shipping method. Shipping costs will vary based upon your choice. You will receive an email containing
tracking information once your order is boxed and ready for shipment. Please note, these tracking numbers will not be
active until they are scanned by the driver. (For example, if you have an order scheduled to ship on a Monday, we may
box it on a Friday and send you the tracking info. However, the tracking info will not be valid until the driver picks it
up on Monday.)
Insurance
ShortHillsWine.com automatically adds insurance and the cost of insurance to each order. This insurance covers the dollar
value of the product and not the product itself. Some product cannot be replaced. If you wish to waive the insurance, you
may do so by un-checking the box during the checkout process, however, this waives all responsibility from ShortHillsWine.com.
**Title to, and ownership of, all wine passes from ShortHillsWine.com to the purchaser in the state of New Jersey at the time
ShortHillsWine.com removes the purchased items from stock and designates the order for shipping and the purchaser takes all
responsibility for the shipping of the purchased item or items to his/her home whether in New Jersey or another state. The
risk of loss for all purchased items also passes from ShortHillsWine.com to the purchaser in the same manner and at the same
time title passes to the purchaser. By utilizing this service from ShortHillsWine.com, the purchaser is representing that
he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery
of wine. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working
through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of wine and is legally
entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.
Shipping Policies
Orders placed will be shipped within the next 2 business days automatically, unless you request a specific shipping date.
If any of the wines ordered are not in stock and if none of the ‘Ship without’ or ‘Vintage sub’ options are checked, we will
send you an email notification and the shipment will not go out until we get an authorization to ship from you. If the
shipment doesn’t reach on time on express shipments, you are entitled to a refund on shipping charges, but no refunds/returns
are accepted on products purchased. This applies only to express shipments and not to ground shipments. ShortHillsWine.com is
not responsible for return packages because of in correct or in complete address. In that case we will not be able to refund
any shipping charges and a 10% restocking fee will be charged. No address changes can be made once the package leaves the store.
If you choose, we can reship to the correct address after the package comes back to us and the additional shipping charges
will be your responsibility. If you choose not to reship the 10% restocking fee will be charged.
Pre Arrivals (Pre Sell)
Please note that the pre arrival (Pre sell) wines will not be shipped automatically as we get them in stock. We will send an
email notification upon the arrival and the shipping date will be determined at that time. Also the expected arrival date on
Pre arrivals (Pre sell) is our best estimate and is not a guaranteed date.
